Thursday, September 2, 2010 at 11:00AM
Thanks to el Museo del Textil Ak Buj Kul, we learned that this Chiapaneca costume is from a town called Chapa De Corzo.
This beautiful dress has a semicircular neckline and its sleeves are adorned with flowers created with bright thick threads. This costume is made in satin fabric usually black or white, which highlights the embroidery.

This costume is hand-embroidered. Runtime: 2 months
P.S. I just remembered my mom bought me this costume when I was seven years old! I am now wondering where is my Chapa del Corzo costume and if there are any pics of me wearing it!!
